V20 Lore of the Clans PDF 28: New Disciplines, Powers, Merits, Flaws, and More for Vampire: The Masq

The supplements include the By Night series, each covering a city as portrayed in the setting; the Clanbook series, covering the vampire clans; guides to the game; sourcebooks for sects and factions; and various other books.[3] The supplements often introduce gradual change to the game's setting, advancing the overarching narrative.[2] Adventure modules have been released, but only rarely, as White Wolf Publishing has preferred to let storytellers[a] construct their own adventures, an uncommon choice in tabletop role-playing games that they could afford due to the World of Darkness series' success and longevity.[7] In the mid-1990s, new World of Darkness books were often top sellers,[2] and by 2001, Vampire: The Masquerade was the second best selling tabletop role-playing game after TSR, Inc.'s Dungeons & Dragons.[8]

In this very normal episode, Bob and Nate honor the release of V5 by going back in time and reviewing a few 1st edition books we missed. What did we miss?First, we talk about 17-page module, Blood Nativity. This story serves as an introduction to Vampire: the Masquerade and was published by Atlas Games in 1991 for White Wolf. We have briefly mentioned this in previous podcasts, but we get a bit deeper in this review. Next, we discuss the 36-page module, Blood Bond, also from 1991. This story explores the mystical blood bond, as well as centuries-old feud between two elder vampires. Finally, we discuss the 83-page story supplement, Ashes to Ashes, published in 1991 by White Wolf. This book continues the chronicle, Forged in Steel, and the battle between the prince of Chicago and Gary, IN. This book, as well as Blood Bond, are part of the Chicago Chronicles collection 3. Blood Nativity was written by: Lynn Severson and Michael Harms (According to the White Wolf Wiki, this adventure was actually written by White Wolf staffers using pseudonyms.)Blood Bond was written by: Ken CliffeAshes to Ashes was written by: Stewart Wieck 2ff7e9595c
