One of the reasons Palouse Mindfulness can be as effective as a live course is because you are not limited to eight weeks of learning since you can take as long as you like to fully absorb the teachings and practices of each "week", and much more material is available.

What if I have questions while taking the course?A distinct advantage of the Palouse Mindfulness course is that you don't have to wait for a once-a-week meeting to ask a question or share a concern. There are optional weekly and monthly zoom meetings (see Zoom Meditation & Discussion Meetings) where students can join a zoom meeting that includes a live meditation and time for sharing experiences and/or asking questions about the practices that are part of the course. There are experienced graduates and senior students in all the Palouse Mindfulness forums who can answer specific questions. There is also the option to join the Palouse Mindfulness Facebook group, through which questions can be asked any time, day or night, and there is usually a response within a few hours,
To get more of a sense of what the course is about...The Introduction is designed to give you a sense of mindfulness and an idea of how this course is structured. For each of the eight weeks, videos, readings and practices help you build a base of both knowledge and experience. MBSR "At a Glance" provides a brief outline of the MBSR course.
No registration required - begin whenever you're readyThis course is completely self-guided (there is no registration and only you will be monitoring your progress, using the provided practice sheets). If you successfully complete the eight weeks of practice and study and send the materials indicated in Requesting a Certificate of Completion, weI will send you a personal note of congratulations along with a certificate of completion. There is no cost for this. You simply submit your practice sheets and a one page description of what you've learned and how you will be incorporating what you learned into your life.
Apprentices must be grounded in all material BEFORE coming to the programs first module. There are regular proficiency exams (verbal, written & practical) on this material throughout the Apprenticeship. The Home Study Course should start at least 6-weeks before the first module. Many students choose to start the Home Study course earlier, giving them more time to prepare and go deeper.
East Coast Swing: East Coast Swing (ECS) is a form of social partner dancing. It is danced to fast paced swing music including Rock and Roll. The dance was created by the dance studios including Arthur Murray Studios in the 1940s. It is a fun and relaxed dance which gives a good cardio workout. Starting date is February 13th at 6:45 at the Waynesville Recreational Center . The class will run for 6 consecutive weeks . Each class is one hour in duration. The price is $72 per person for the complete 6 week course. Fees must be paid on the first night of the session. Come a few minutes early on the 13th of February to register for the course.
